Group administrators

Group administrator privileges

 Group administrator privileges allow the user to perform the following actions:

  • Invite members to a group using an email address.
  • Grant other group members with group administrator rights.
  • Access the group's manage member’s area; view member's registered email addresses and group email preferences.
  • Remove users from the group.
  • Delete and edit any file within the group.
  • Cancel and edit any event within the group.

Invite new users and current network members to a group

  • Navigate to the group home page by clicking on the group name under Groups.
  • From the group navigation, select Invite people to this group.
  • Click on invite by email address or invite people already in the network.
  • Add/select the recipients.
  • Send the invite.

Remove members from a group

  • Go into the specialty group.
  • Select manage members from the group navigation.
  • Locate the member you wish to remove by searching for their name or email address.
  • Select the tick box adjacent to their name, a red button will appear.
  • Select the red button and confirm their removal from the network.

Manage members area

Access the groups manage members area, to view member's registered email addresses and network email preferences.

  • From the group navigation, select Manage members.
  • Search by name or email address.
  • From here you can remove members.

Grant group administrator rights to a group member

  • Go into the specialty group.      
  • Select members from the group navigation.
  • A list of all the members of the group will be displayed.
  • Adjacent to each members name is the option to click on make admin.
  • Click on make admin, to give that member admin rights.

Remove administrator rights from a group member

  • Go into the specialty group.      
  • Select members from the group navigation.
  • Click on remove admin rights.

Remove yourself from a group

  • Go into the specialty group.      
  • Select Leave group from the group navigation.

Delete or edit any file within a group you administer

As a group admin you have the ability to delete or upload new versions of any file within the network:

  • Go into the specialty group.
  • Select Files from the group navigation.
  • Here you can delete or upload new versions of any file.

Delete or edit any event within a group you administer

  • As a group admin you have the ability to edit or cancel any event within the group:
  • Go into the specialty group.
  • Select Events from the group navigation.
  • Here you can cancel or edit any events.
